What is the Phantom 4 OSS(Obstacle Sensing System)?
The OSS is constantly scanning for obstacles in the flight path and will avoid collision by taking a different flight path to avoid the obstacle.
What is the Effective range of the OSS(Obstacle Sensing System)?
The range of the OSS is .7 to 15 meters. Pilots should always pay attention to the flight path and obstacles that may be in the flight path during flight.
What modes does the OSS(Obstacle Sensing System) work in?
The OSS works in Active Track, Tap Fly, Normal Mode and also in all Intelligent Navigation functions.
What is TapFly mode?
When TapFly is being used, the aircraft can be flown in any direction with just a tap of the finger without using a remote controller. If the Obstacle Sensing System is turned on, the aircraft will automatically avoid obstacles in the flight path.
What is ActiveTrack?
Tap on the subject to be tracked on your screen and the aircraft will lock onto this target and follow at a safe distance. Perfect for following moving targets.
How do you disengage Active Track?
Once you have completed your mission and want to stop tracking, you can tap the stop button on the left of the screen or pull the pitch stick backwards for 3 seconds. The aircraft will hover in place until it receives new commands to follow something else or to return home.
What is Hover in Place?
Using the GPS system the Phantom 4 can hover in place and not drift or be pushed by local wind currents. This is very useful when filming a stationary target or while waiting for new commands.
How long will the Phantom 4 Intelligent Battery last?
The length of time the battery power will last varies due to temperature, wind conditions, speed etc. It has achieve 28 minutes of flying time in relatively benign conditions.
Will the Phantom 4 Return to Home?
Yes, it not only will return to home, it will use the obstacle sensing system to avoid obstacles along the way to return to it’s original starting point.
How fast can the Phantom 4 fly?
The Phantom 4 has been tracked at 44.7 mph or 72kph, which will allow it to keep up with many sports related activities.
